Categorised by Money :-
- Budget Travellers ( Backpackers ) :- Some people may not be able or willing to spend much money, but wish to see the world anyhow. They believe in that “ It is possible to travel with very little or even no money at all ”.
- Luxury Travellers :- These kind of travellers are looking for comfort, marble bath-tub or the gold taps, high standards of accommodation and dining while travelling.
Categorised by Purpose :-
The Thrill-Seeker (Adventure Travellers ) :- Adventure Travellers often travel alone or in small groups on self-organised trips or on small group organised excursions. They include; tourists, trekkers, mountaineers, climbers, bikers, canoeists, scuba divers, etc. etc. The list is endless. This type of excursion usually involves travelling on foot, by bicycle or public transport and staying in simple cheap accommodation.
- Cultural explorer Travellers :- These Kind of Travellers seek opportunities to embrace, discover and immerse himself in the culture, people and settings of the places they visit. Not content to just visit historic sites and watch from the sidelines, they want to be an active participant. They often attempt to converse with locals, attend local festivals and go off the beaten path to discover how people truly live.
- Entertainment Travellers :- They travel for fun, entertainment and to get lost into different word. They can be subcategorized into Holidaymaker, Sexoturism , Honeymooners, Gambling, Party Hoppers, Hippie Travellers, Druggers.
- Voluntraveller (Volunteer Travellers) :- These kind of travellers provide their service by living and working in developing countries, providing aid, and assisting in the peace process by interacting with local cultures.
- Medical Travellers :- These kind of travellers are looking for cheap medical assistant and special medical treatment.
- Rejuvenator :- For them, travel is a chance to totally disconnect and just "get away from it all." All they want to do is relax and recharge. They usually take short vacations to familiar places, often for family visits and celebrations. While they might seek out destinations with a few interesting things to see and do, they don't want an overly-hectic schedule of events. After all, travel is meant to be relaxing, not extra work!
